By Train:
Two train lines take visitors to Nikko: the Nikko Line of East Japan Railway Company (JR) from Utsunomiya, and the Nikko Line of TOBU RAILWAY CO., LTD. from Asakusa in Tokyo. From Tokyo, TOBU RAILWAY is the main route to Nikko. Travel time from Asakusa in Tokyo to Nikko is about 110 minutes by TOBU super express, 2 hours by rapid train.
From 2006, you can get to the Nikko from Shinjuku, Ikebukuro or Oomiya Station.

By Car:
Nikko Utsunomiya Toll Road is connected to Tohoku Express Way at Utsunomiya Interchange. Driving time from Nikko Interchange of Nikko-Utsunomiya Toll Road to Nikko Kanaya Hotel will be only 5 min. Tire chains are required in winter.
