73:銅鍋 -Copper Pot-
銅製のしゃぶしゃぶ鍋です。
中央の筒の下部に炭をいれて使います。
This is a copper shabu-shabu pot.
Charcoal is placed at the bottom of the central cylinder to be used.
そもそも、当ホテルではお客様からの事前のオーダーに応える形で和食を提供していたようですが、1970年代中頃まで7割ほどを占めていた外国人のお客様の割合が、1980年代に入ると5割を切り、日本人のお客様が増加したこと、さらに、連泊のお客様から和食の要望が増えたことから、メニューに本格的に和食を入れることになりました。国内外を問わず人気のあるしゃぶしゃぶが提供されていたのは想像に難くありません。
この鍋は、その頃の名残かもしれません。
取っ手のコウモリが可愛すぎますね。
No one in the current kitchen remembers this pot, which suggests it is quite old. It seems that our hotel originally offered Japanese cuisine in response to advance orders from guests. However, the percentage of foreign guests, who accounted for about 70% until the mid-1970s, dropped to below 50% in the 1980s, and the number of Japanese guests increased. Furthermore, as requests for Japanese cuisine from long-stay guests increased, we decided to officially add Japanese dishes to the menu. It is easy to imagine that shabu-shabu, a dish popular both in Japan and abroad, was served.
Looking at this pot, I can imagine the guests from that time enjoying their meals.
The bat on the handle is just too cute.
