84：ビンテージジンボトル　　-Vintage Bottle-

バー「デイサイト」に残る、古いボトル。
おそらく100年ほど前のものでしょうか。

このオールドボトルには
Erven Lucas Bols / HET LOOTSJE / Amsterdam / 1LITERと刻まれています。
オランダの老舗ボルス社が、かつてジュネヴァ（ジンの元祖）の容器として使用していた陶器ボトルです。
今から20年前に当ホテルの蔵でみつかったボトルですが、見つけた当時、このボトルの中には梅酒が入っていたとのこと。
バーテンダーがこれをほんの少し飲んでみたところ、美味しかったそうです。

時代の詰まったような、重たいボトル。
現行のジュネヴァのガラス瓶は、この伝統的なフォルムを受け継いでいることに、さらに味わいが深く感じられます。

This old bottle is inscribed with "Erven Lucas Bols / HET LOOTSJE / Amsterdam / 1LITER." It is a ceramic bottle that the long-established Dutch company Bols once used as a container for Genever (the precursor to gin). It was found in the hotel's storage room 20 years ago, and we are told that when it was discovered, the bottle contained umeshu (plum liqueur). The bartender at Bar DACITE tasted a small amount and reported that it was delicious.

This is a heavy bottle, seemingly packed with history. The fact that the current Genever glass bottles inherit this traditional form gives it an even deeper sense of history and flavor.
